I had this weird problem where Premiere Pro was crashing as soon as I passed the login screen for license. Checking the system logs I've found that DAX3API.exe was crashing constantly.
I was not using this software (came with the Realtek DCH Modded Audio Driver) so I needed to remove it but it was not that easy! You have to stop the service first!
Go to services and stop Dolby service. If you can't, open it up and change startup type to Disabled. Now head to
